QT Singapore Celebrates SG60 with a Peranakan Feast, Cocktails, and a Whole Lot of Cheeky National Pride

This August, QT Singapore is bringing the party to the people – and the flavour to your plate – in celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday. In true QT fashion, the boutique hotel known for its irreverent spirit and bold design is pulling out all the stops for SG60, with a deliciously local dining takeover, creative cocktails that pay homage to hawker culture, and birthday perks worth talking about.

A Tok Panjang Feast with Heart

At the centre of the celebration is Butterfly Table by Tiap Tiap, a beloved mother-daughter duo famed for turning their family recipes into immersive, soul-filled feasts. Teaming up with Cygnet by Sean Connolly, the pair will host six special Tok Panjang-style dinners (on 17, 24, and 31 August), honouring Peranakan matriarchs and the culinary traditions they’ve passed down through generations.

Expect a vibrant table filled with heritage-rich dishes – from a DIY Kueh Pie Tee starter to handmade Fuchow Fishballs and rainbow Nasi Ulam adorned with edible blooms. The showstoppers? Buah Keluak Pork Ribs lovingly braised over two days and Nyonya Curry Chicken that hits all the right nostalgic notes. Priced at $148++ per person (minimum four guests), early birds who book by 10 July enjoy a special rate of $128++.

Hawker-Inspired Cocktails with a Twist

Over at Cygnet Bar, Singaporean street food gets a cheeky makeover with a quartet of cocktails inspired by Lau Pa Sat. Highlights include the Kopi & Kaya – a luscious rum and coffee liqueur concoction with coconut and gula melaka – and the Biryani Martini, a spiced, savoury sip made for the adventurous palate. All cocktails are just $10 during Cygnet Hour (4–7pm), and only $9 on National Day. Plus, order four and get inked – literally – with a flash tattoo by local artist Daphne Flowers.

Birthday Babies Get the Royal Treatment

QT Singapore is rolling out red-carpet perks for those born on 9 August. The first 98 guests celebrating their birthday at Cygnet Restaurant in August will receive a $98 dining credit (excluding Butterfly Table nights). And if you’re one of the lucky nine born on 9 August 1965? A staggering $1,965 hotel and dining credit awaits – a golden gift for a golden jubilee.

QT Singapore’s SG60 celebration isn’t just a party – it’s a love letter to Singapore’s food, culture, and the people who make it home. Bookings and details at qtsingapore.com and cygnetsingapore.com.
